Wisconsin Firearms Training Center offers retired law enforcement officers the opportunity to shoot the Wisconsin DOJ qualification course under the direction of a DOJ certified instructor. WFTC will provide proof of qualification to retirees successfully completing this qualification. You can submit this proof of qualification to your former department to apply for a department-issued HR 218-approved photo ID.

If you wish to qualify with multiple handguns, you must register for a session for each handgun.

Cost: $55.00

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED 
Minimum of 50 rounds for your handgun
Holster designed to securely hold the handgun
Minimum of two magazines for semi-auto pistols required
Speed loader or speed strip for revolvers strongly suggested
Hearing protection and eye protection (available for rent at WFTC for $5)
Billed cap suggested to protect you from ejected brass.

You are strongly encouraged to review and confirm your former department`s policies for qualification and issuing HR 218 ID cards as these cards are issued by your former department. WFTC does not issue HR 218 ID cards.

All class fees are NON REFUNDABLE.
